Welcome to the Privacy Statement of Futurewhiz. In this document we explain which of your personal data is processed when you visit our website, contact us or make use of our services, for what purpose and which rights you have with regard to the processing of your personal data.

Who is Futurewhiz?
The controller of your personal data is Futurewhiz B.V. (“Futurewhiz”, “we”, “our”).
Futurewhiz is the parent company of Squla, WRTS and scoyo. We are located at Prins Bernhardplein 200, 1097 JB Amsterdam, the Netherlands. There you can also find the office of Squla and WRTS and Studira. Scoyo GmbH is located in Berlin at Friedrichstr. 68, Büro 609 10117, Berlin, Germany.

This Privacy Statement applies to individuals who visit and use the Futurewhiz website, contact Futurewhiz, or individuals that apply for a position or internship at Futurewhiz.

How does Futurewhiz process your personal data?
Below you will find an overview of the purposes for which Futurewhiz processes your personal data. We indicate which personal data Futurewhiz uses for that specific purpose, what the legal basis is for processing that data, and how long the data is stored by Futurewhiz.

Contact
You can contact Futurewhiz in various ways, such as by email or by phone. We only use the data we obtain from you for this contact to answer your question and to be of service to you. The processing of your personal data is necessary to pursue Futurewhiz’ legitimate interests. We do not keep your data longer than necessary to answer your question.

Work at Futurewhiz
The data and documents provided by you, including contact details, CV and motivation letter, are processed by Futurewhiz to determine whether you are eligible for the vacancy you applied for. Or, in case of an open application, to determine whether you are eligible for a position within Futurewhiz.
These processing activities are necessary to serve the legitimate interest of Futurewhiz. In this case that interest consists of recruiting suitable new staff. Personal data provided to Futurewhiz in this context shall be used exclusively by Futurewhiz in order to enable a responsible, effective and efficient recruitment and selection process.
Futurewhiz shall store the personal details of applicants during the recruitment and selection procedure. Your application data shall (in the event of a rejection) be deleted by Futurewhiz at the latest four (4) weeks after the completion of the application procedure. Only with your consent Futurewhiz stores your application data for a period of one year. This way, Futurewhiz can inform you if a suitable position for you becomes available at a later stage.

Cookies
We use cookies to measure the use of the website. Besides the conditions of the Privacy Statement, the conditions of the Cookie Statement of Futurewhiz are applicable. The Cookie Statement states which cookies are used and what the purpose of those cookies are. The Cookie Statement can be read here.

Social media
The Futurewhiz website contains links to social (media) networks or websites of third parties, such as LinkedIn or Instagram. Before you make use of these services of third parties, it is advisable to read the privacy statement of these third parties first.

Submitting your personal data to third parties
Futurewhiz makes use of the services of external companies, subcontractors and/or suppliers who carry out specific tasks or assignments at the request of Futurewhiz and with whom your personal data may be shared. For instance, Futurewhiz will provide your details to Recruitee, the company that assists Futurewhiz in the job application process as described above. Futurewhiz ensures that these parties only process personal data in accordance with the agreement that Futurewhiz has concluded with these parties.

Protecting your personal data
We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. We have therefore implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from loss or any form of unlawful processing.

Furthermore, we find it important to store your personal data within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) as much as possible. Where your personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure that such transfer is in compliance with the law and that the required level of protection is ensured. For example, we have signed EU Model Clauses with these parties or base the transfer on an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Right of access
You have the right to request whether we process personal data relating to you. If this is the case, we will provide you with a copy of the personal data collected about you in accordance with the law.

Right to rectification
You have the right to request rectification of inaccurate personal data relating to you. Whenever possible, you also have the right to provide additional personal data to complete the collection of your personal data.

Right to be forgotten
You have the right to request the erasure (deletion) of your personal data (also known as the right to be forgotten). If your request is granted, we will delete the personal data in question.

Right to restriction
You have the right to request the restriction of your personal data. This means that, if the restriction request is granted, we will not further process your personal data for the duration of the restriction. Unless this is permitted by law.

Right of objection
You have the right, under certain circumstances, to object to the processing of your personal data, for example if we are processing your personal data based on legitimate interests. If you object, we will balance your privacy interests against our business interests. If your interests outweigh our business interests, we will not further process your personal data.

If your personal data is used for direct marketing, you can always object to the processing. In that case, we will no longer process your personal data for that purpose.

Right to data portability
You have the right to request for data portability. We will make the data covered by this right available to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form so that you can transfer it to a third party.

Withdrawal of consent
Where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before it is withdrawn.

Response
You can submit your request to FutureWhiz via legal@futurewhiz.com. We will try to respond to your request as quickly as possible, and in any event within one month. However, it is possible that we may need more time. Should this be the case, we will inform you of this before the end of the month referred to above. The additional time will not exceed two months. It is possible that we will reject your request. We will also inform you of any rejection.

Amendments
This Privacy Statement is subject to change. The most recent version of the Privacy Statement can be found on our website. We will notify you of any significant changes. The latest version of the Privacy Statement is dated April 2023.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
